Constructure commenced the community funded First Sikh Temple project in 2015. Taking over a cold shell from previous builder the scope was expansive. On the exterior it involved the addition of architectural roof domes, front and rear ornate fence and custom concrete formed arches and domes . The interior was a full fit out and design of communal dining, kitchen ,prayer rooms, toilets, laundry, lift installation, and custom build window details befitting of the First Sikh Temple in Australia . Temple artisans from India were engaged and containers of granite and marble imported. The project was community funded with deep financial issues and Constructure assisted by operating on a “cost only” basis – Australia’s largest love job.
The majority of fit out and construction works was undertaken through Constructure to reduce trades onsite. Our role was to get the building prepped for completion/OC so it could then be finished by local trades over time.
